An emergency dental situation may occur without warning. While some of them can be prevented if you maintain proper oral health, others may happen because of the reasons like accidents, injuries, trauma, and others. Upon experiencing any dental emergency, we advise you to visit our clinic and get the problem addressed at the earliest.
Broken Tooth
Broken or chipped teeth not only ruin your perfect smile but also lead to immense pain. If you are experiencing this dental emergency, the first action to take is to rinse your mouth with warm water and apply gauze on the site of bleeding.
Apply cold compress on the part of your face closest to the broken tooth. Visit us immediately, and we will check the severity of your broken tooth and provide a suitable treatment.
Abscess
Abscess refers to infections in your mouth, particularly near the tooth roots or in the space between your gums and teeth. If left untreated, the infection may spread to the surrounding teeth, gum tissues, and even to the rest of your body.
If your gums feel extremely painful or you have a swollen spot, visit our clinic and get yourself checked as soon as possible. In the meantime, you may rinse your mouth with mild water and also apply ice to the swollen area.
Tooth Extraction
Tooth extraction may be standard or wisdom tooth extraction, both of which are a part of common dental emergencies. Your normal teeth are extracted because of reasons like tooth decay and infection. Wisdom tooth extraction is performed to remove your impacted wisdom teeth and relieve you of the pain and discomfort.
Loose Tooth
Loose or knocked-out teeth are the result of an accident or injury. If you have lost your teeth accidentally, the first thing to do is to pick up the teeth by the crown and then rinse off their roots. Do not scrub or remove any attached tissue fragments from them. While you are on your way to meet us, try placing the teeth in a glass of milk or between your cheek and gums. Be careful while doing so.
Dental Repairs
Many cases may also result in losing or falling out of your dental repairs or restorations. Be sure to visit our clinic for such dental emergencies. Locate the restoration and rinse it before visiting our clinic. We may perform a quick repair to solve your problem.
